THE BROWN BEAR AND THE BLUEBERRIES, origin, power, dynamism

Ancient king of beasts, revered throughout Europe, the brown bear is a being "apart." A bipedal animal, capable of standing upright, it has long been considered the ancestor of humans. Its build makes it an extremely powerful being.

The blueberry is a shrub that never sits idle! Its growth time is quite short, especially in areas where the cold is intense, yet it develops and spreads in no time and with panache.

Acrylic paint + protective varnish on birch wood. Unique piece, hand-painted.

Dimensions of the painted wood bear: approximately 17.5 cm in height, 15 cm in width, 2 cm in depth.

Dimensions of the painted blueberry wood: approximately 10 cm high, 9 cm wide, 2 cm deep.

Reindeer antler dimensions: approximately 13 cm in length, 6 cm in width.

Total length: about 50cm.

These pieces are made exclusively from recycled wood that I find during my wanderings in the forest. I search for them, shape them as desired, and sand them myself.

The reindeer antler comes from a Sami herd.
